Tree Pruning and Care

Colorado is a beautiful, yet harsh and unpredictable landscape. Our complete tree care is essential in helping trees live longer and healthier.

  • Pruning or cutting out deadwood, interfering branches and overgrowth helps avoid many future costly problems, an unstructured growth pattern could make situations that could impact safety.

  • Thinning encourages air circulation which reduces the possibility of mold, Snow damage and broken branches from high Colorado winds.

  • Overgrown trees can damage the surrounding area such as roofs, house siding, paint, fences, or even vehicles and boats.

  • When shaping and pruning properly, many trees can maintain shape naturally for many years to come.

  • Low branches over the street and walk can get homeowners in hot waterand may be fined depending on the city.

"..I will definitely be using them in the future to replace my trees and for ongoing trimming. Thank you!"

Training trees for a healthy future

Trees can be trimmed, trained and shaped at almost any age to establish a good structure for the future.  Structure problems that cannot be corrected through pruning such as included bark (See Photos), can be reinforced with tree cabling or tree bracing to avoid failure.

A handful of trees are prone to early bad structure problems such as:

  • Maple

  • Pear

  • Linden

  • Aspen

  • Blue Spruce

Before cutting newly planted trees, it's recommended to let some time pass in order for roots to establish in the landscape. A good rule of thumb is waiting a year per inch of trunk diameter.
